Warren Munro captured his first swarm of bees in 1914, launching Munro Apiaries. He studied the art of beekeeping and built his first honey house in Alvinston, Ontario. Since then, their swarm has grown to approximately 3,000 colonies.
Buckfast bees originated in England by a monk known as Brother Adam at the Buckfast Abbey. In 1919, Brother Adam succeeded in producing a strain of bee that was a good honey producer, disease-resistant, and gentle. The bees kept and raised at Munro Honey consist primarily of Buckfast stock.
This Munro honey is far and away the best honey I've found in a very long time.
