We love Red River Cereal so much we bought in bulk and shipped it to our house on Vancouver Island. The Mill was fast to ship and very reasonable about the cost. 10/10
This was my first time cooking with red fife flour. The Pancakes were excellent. I will continue using this flour. Very flavourful.
The original Red River Cereal we knew and loved, back again. Excellent service and an excellent product.
We are big fans of this cereal. However, our last batch was milled finer than usual. We prefer a larger grain and are disappointed. Is this change permanent or was it just a glitch?
I made a mistake in ordering. We wanted Original so, our local food bank was the recipient of 4 pkgs of 7 Grain. I have since stocked up with the 5 pack special on Original.
Ordered the 5 pack Anita arrived in a few days as promised!

We have a family recipe for a brown bread. My great aunt used to have it baking all the time while patients visited her doctor-husband, Uncle Redge, in their home.
It is like a sponge to butter and honey or jams. Soaking everything up while filling you mouth with deliciousness!
It absolutely is NOT the same without this cereal. We lost it off the grocery store shelves and have found it again!

I mixed about 3/4 c of the 7 grain flour with the bread flour for my first loaf, wow, very delicious boost in flavor

This cereal is a hearty, filling breakfast. Throw in some berries and nuts and you'll be full until at least lunch. So much nicer than rolled oats.

As a South African living in Canada, finding specific ingredients for dishes can be a challenge. To make "Samp and Beans", finding the right kind of corn here has been immensely challenging. I found out about Avra's Hominy Grits, and they substituted perfectly! Very happy.
We added Novs Scotia blueberries to the mix. Fantastic!

I love to bake and I have been very happy with this flour for my baking. I have to plan a bit more and not over order as the flour doesn't have any preservatives in it - but I like the fact that I do know what is in it. I also like trying the different types of flour. For general baking though - Daisy White and Pastry Flour work great.
Red River Cereal and 7 Grains cereal are my 2 favourite ways to start the day. Nourishing, filling but not heavy, and great "outcomes" are why I eat it daily.
I get a fast activation and I can make a levain within hours
When you are getting bored with oatmeal, great alternative!
I have had great results with other Arva flours in bread making. I thought I would give this one a try but based on my first batch I will be using Arva Red Fife when I next make bread. The Einkorn flour has a distinctive taste which I found a little off putting. That may just be me as others seem to like the taste.
