Red River is an old favourite that I have not seen in stores here lately. I'm on my own so I would never get to the third package before the due date so it goes to the food bank.

I was very happy when I found out that Arva Flour Mills were making Red River Cereal available again for purchase! And to my delight, their service is fantastic! And now they have even developed a recipe to make a quick bread with it!! Three cheers for Arva!!!

I grew up in an age when Red River Cereal was available in grocery stores. Now in my 50"s I was sad to see that the product was no longer available. Then I came across an ad on Facebook showing how to purchase online. I have been a returning customer for 3 years now and will continue. Staff are quick with orders or any questions you may have.

I read an article by CBC when Arva picked up the rights to continue producing Red River and I think the article said three times, "its like bird food, for humans". Well, it is. But as the birds love bird food, I love this bird food for humans. I bought the 5-pack to share with my family members who also have nostalgia for this old fave.

Great amount for trying a new recipe

Ever since my daughter told me that we can get Red River cereal from Arva Flour mills about a year ago I have regularly been keeping stock of it and enjoying it every weekend.

Mark has done a great job revitalizing and marketing the mill.

We used to live in London Ont., and had driven through Arva countless times. I have been out in Alberta 43 years and would not have the opportunity to visit the mill, although I would like to.

Our favourite flour for bread, biscuits and the like is Canada's famous Red Fife whole wheat flour. Unfortunately, it's quite difficult to find, and often when you DO find it, the seller is trying to pull a fast one. (It's happened twice to us, sadly.) Believe me, once you've tasted this exquisite heritage flour, you'll know immediately the next time you have it.

So we searched high and low, and then we discovered Arva, a terrific source of heritage flours and grains -- and they carry Red Fife in both whole wheat and white! If you bake bread, you owe it to yourself to try some.

This is an historic and lovely business that deserves our support! Ordering is quick and easy, or if you live in Ontario (Arva is just north of London), do yourself a favour and make a visit.

We were excited to find the Red River Cereal was once again available. We ordered lots thinking it would disappear again, but we are happy to see it is going to be available going forward. It’s a fantastic way to get a great start on a cooler morning.

I've used the white spelt and the whole red fife together to make wonderful, delicious bread!

I love the flax seed because it is fresh! I can smell it when I grind it up to add to smoothies, breads, etc. It’s also so gratifying to support local small businesses.

This Munro honey is far and away the best honey I've found in a very long time.
