Large Flake Oats: Nutritious and Versatile

Description
Large flake oats, also known as rolled or old-fashioned oats, are made by steaming, flattening, and cutting oat groats into large flakes. These oats are thicker and take longer to cook than quick oats, offering a nutty flavor and a chewy texture. They are often used in recipes where oats are the star ingredient, such as in muesli, granola, or crumble toppings. 🌾🥣🍪

Health Benefits
Large flake oats are packed with nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They are a great source of soluble fiber, particularly beta-glucan, which helps lower cholesterol levels and improve heart health12. Oats also aid in blood sugar control, promote weight loss by increasing feelings of fullness, and support digestive health12. Additionally, they contain unique antioxidants called avenanthramides, which have anti-inflammatory properties and may help reduce blood pressure1.

A much better consistency and flavour than the quick cooking oats. Stays nice and thick for breakfast cereal and makes a wonderful crunchy topping for my Apple Betty recipe!
