A delicious and chewy oatmeal cookie recipe! The recipe was handed out at the Arva Flour Mill years ago and recently resurfaced! An oldie but a goodie!

Ingredients

1 cup butter soft

1 cup lightly packed brown sugar

½ cup white sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp cinnamon

3 cups quick cooking oats
-
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1 cup semi sweet chocolate or raisins

1 ½ Cups Daisy Unbleached Hard White Flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F
In a large bowl cream together, the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract
Combine Daisy flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt
Stir in dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until just blended
Mix in the quick oats, chocolate/raisins and walnuts/pecans
Drop heaping spoonfuls onto untreated baking sheet
Bake 12-15 mins in the preheated oven
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
