Ingredients
-
3 cups Arva Large Flake Oats
-
½ cup Raw Sunflower Seeds
-
½ cup Raw Pumpkin Seeds
-
¾ cup Whole or Sliced Almonds
-
¼ tsp Salt
-
½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
-
½ tbsp Wheat Germ (optional)
-
2 tbsp canola, corn, or sunflower oil OR 2 tbsp Unsalted Melted Butter
-
½ cup Arva Pure Maple Syrup
-
1 cup Dried Fruits (Cranberries, Raisins, Figs, etc)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F, place rack in centre of oven
Butter or line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large bowl combine oats, nuts, seeds, wheat germ, cinnamon and salt
In a small bowl stir together the oil (or butter) and Arva maple syrup. Pour this over the dry ingredients and toss together, making sure all the dry ingredients are coated
Spread on the baking sheet and bake for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown
The more brown, the crunchier the granola will be, but don’t burn
Place on a rack to cool, it will be sticky until cooled thoroughly
Once cooling is complete stir in fruit of your choice
Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container, the granola will hold for several weeks
