Another oldie but a goodie, these bars are hard to resist!
Ingredients

1 cup Butter
-
1½ cups Brown sugar (divided)

½ cup Arva Quick cooking oats

½ cup Arva Large Flaked Oats
-
½ cup Arva Daisy Unbleached Hard Flour

½ cup Arva Dark Rye Flour
-
½ cup Arva Oat Flour
-
½ cup Daisy Hard Whole Wheat Flour

¼ cup Arva Wheat Bran
-
¼ cup Arva Wheat Germ
-
4 tsp Grated orange rind
-
4 large eggs beaten to blend

2 cups sliced almonds
-
1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup chopped dates
-
½ cup chopped dried apricots
-
½ cup Thompson Raisins

½ cup Shredded coconut
-
½ cup Wheat flakes
Directions
Cream butter with one cup brown sugar until well blended. Stir in oats, flours, bran, wheat germ, and orange peel. Press mixture onto bottom of 9 x 13“ baking pan.
Combine remaining half cup brown sugar, and remaining ingredients. Mix gently.
Pour over crust, spreading evenly.
Bake at 350°F until slightly browned, about 25 minutes.
Cool, cut into squares or bars.
