red river cereal is the best part of my day

Very good , the instructions were a bit difficult to find and the recipe links are broken on the webisite

Bought several flours/grains/cereals over the past 6 months or so. The products are quality and the prices good even with the shipping. Was most excited to buy a childhood memory of mine in Red River cereal! The Emmer flour was great in pasta making, even for a newly retired beginner. Really like supporting this small historic Canadian company! Will definitely continue buying from ARVA!

I use the Arva Spelt flour in several of the sourdough breads I bake. It works extremely well in a Spelt, Whole Wheat & Rye loaf as well as a Whole Wheat Spelt loaf.

Seriously, Wife wanted me to stop eating the Red River original as she used it for baking and it was hard to find?
One google search and I ordered 5 bags.......A short time later I noticed other offerings and I ordered them all. Wow! I still can't pick my favorite but that 7 grain was a pleasant surprise and I luv it as well.
When the Red River plant shut down I thought that was the end; I'm so blessed that ARVA is keeping the long tradition of my childhood cereal going.

I began enjoying Red River over 70 years ago. When the former producers took the cereal out of production several years ago, I was not happy at all. Nor were many others. Luckily Arva stepped up and began making Red River again and with a few improvements too! I hope Arva continue the Red River tradition for many years to come.

It's great to be able to purchase Red River Cereal again, a favourite hot cereal in our house. I ordered the 5 pack and it was delivered within a week. Delivery was free, what a bonus!
I also ordered the 3 pack of flour, the pastry flour makes delicious, flaky pastry. Again, delivery was free.
It's nice to be able to support a small truly Canadian business .

Great quality steel cut oats.

Take plain yoghurt and sprinkle a bit of powdered ginger, a bit of brown sugar, and then a good dollop of cracked wheat. Amazing flavor combination, and the cracked wheat gives it a chewy other dimension.

This cooks remarkably fast, so it is convenient if you are in a rush. The extra grains give it a nutty taste, and a kick that straight oatmeal does not have.
