BEST BY FAR

I am fairly new to making my own sourdough breads. If I am going to do this I am going to make sure I am using the best flour for my dough. This is by far the best flour I have ever used so far. I will continue to use this flour for my baking.

The oatmeal cookies are a favorite of my granddaughters. Especially warm out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle.

Nuch

This is amazing for any plant based peeps. I love the fact it's Canadian and it comes as big flakes instead of store bought where it's ground to bits. Tastes the same, or better than store. Do tend to use a tad more when cooking based on it being big flakes. And, it's not a bad thing. I hope arva can possible offer a larger container in future.

Flour

I love this flour! I bake a lot and use it in every recipe without difficulty. I heard as saying once, "improve your flour and it will improve your life." I think this flour hits all of that.

Tried it!

I found the pancakes much drier then bobs red mill gluten free mix.

Love!

Love these multi-packs of Red River - yes, I am addicted to this delicious cereal! I cook it on low for about 30 mins, then top my bowl with some yogurt or kefir, chopped or stewed fruit, and some nuts and raisins. Yum

The best

This is my dads favourite cereal and he was crushed to not be able to find it in the stores around him when he moved, so he was thrilled when I surprised him by ordering it on line.

White Unbleached Flour

Recently tried the white unbleached flour. It was great for my sourdough bread and starter. I will definitely be buying it again.

Red Fife Flour

Makes beautiful bread! Love it! 🥰

Breakfast Favourite

I grew up eating Red River cereal bread made by my parents. After awhile the cereal became scarce and hard to find anywhere. What a relief to be able to buy it once again, and have it shipped all the way to Saskatoon. Currently I have a bowl several days a week, with dried sweetened cranberries. I even stash a box in my work desk in case I get hungry during the day. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Tasteless

Sorry, I found them absolutely tasteless and not that simple to make - 4 eggs and all that butter??? Had to pile yummy icing on top to make them edible. Very disappointed.

a favourite choice for breakfast

In my younger days, our family had always enjoyed Red River cereal for breakfast. While visiting some good friends, I recently “rediscovered” this cereal and understood why it was and still is my favourite choice for breakfast. Best of all (and unlike most breakfast cereals on store shelves these days), Red River cereal is a 100% Canadian product. Many thanks to Arva Flour Mill for continuing to produce this classic and delicious hot cereal.

Red River Cereal

Love it! I make my bread with Red River Cereal.

Memories

I love red river cereal.. have been enjoying it since I was a child and my grandmother made it

Great products and great service, so glad Arva revived Red River Cereal, and have added more products besides.

Mixing it up

I’m new to Arva Mills, but then, I’m new to Canada. I can’t eat any form of wheat except for spelt that I am aware of. I love baking. The small town I live in now has a small bulk food market that only carries whole grain spelt and some god-awful name brand gluten free flour that I tried once, making it difficult to get decent flour for baking where I live with my fiancé and family. Mail order it is then.

So far, using the 4.5 kg spelt flour from Arva Mill, I’ve made buttermilk cheddar biscuits, pancakes, chicken and dumplings, pizza, tortillas, French bread rolls, cinnamon sticky buns and banana bread.

The spelt flour is excellent, having risen to the occasion of everything I’ve made with it so far. As soon as I can replace the pans and utensils I had to abandon when I was forced to leave my country, I plan to start making crepes, focaccia, pastry crusts and pasta again. Hopefully, the postal strike doesn’t last long.

Very good gluten free flour

This flour is great quality and is used in baking and making gluten free sauces . It has been extremely handy and affordable for me.

Best flour there is

Bake religiously with this flour,, three times a week. I started baking with Arva Mills this year (my first time baking in general) and I fear I shall continue to bake with their flour until my hands can no longer knead in life. It’s one of relaxation activities and my family loves it tremendously, just real flour. Love it. Here’s my pide (Turkish pizza) I made last night :) Thank you!

Very good quality mix

My neighbour didn’t believe this was a mix . This makes very delicious cookies I have many friends now who are gluten free and these gluten free mixes have saved me a lot of expense and hassle. Thank you !

Amazing value

All of these flours have become my staple now. They make the best bread you have ever tasted . Very good quality flour, how can it not be …it’s right from the mill

Did the granola too!

Luv Lynn J's trick for the granola. I replaced the 1/2 cup of maple syrup with chocolate honey spread and cooked at 350 for about 12min. Very yummy! Not a fan of the texture just as hot cereals but for various recipes, is really great!

Makes a great homestyle cornbread

Easy to make with minimal ingredients and next to no hassle or mess. Remember to use unsalted butter and you will have a delicious corn cake
